Your journey
We begin by chanting the mantra 'Ong Namo Guru Dev Namo' three times. This traditional mantra literally translates to 'I bow to the subtle divine wisdom, the divine teacher within.' It actively tunes our brains into the frequency of learning and connects us to our inner guidance.
Next, we practice specific, powerful breathing techniques to calm the nervous system, clear mental clutter, and rapidly shift stagnant energy.
We then move into a Kriya — a precise sequence of dynamic movements, postures, and breath designed to strengthen the physical body, balance the endocrine system, and stimulate flow.
A vital period of stillness where you lie flat on your mat, allowing the activated energy to integrate deeply into your nervous system and body.
A focused, grounding meditation to cultivate mental clarity, emotional balance, and a deep sense of internal peace.
We close our class by chanting three long 'Sat Nams'. Sat means Truth, and Nam means Identity. Chanting this simply means 'Truth is my identity' — a grounding reminder to carry your authentic self off the mat and into your day.
Good to know
Kundalini yoga incorporates the ancient practice of chanting mantras, particularly during our tuning in, meditation, and closing phases. If you are new to chanting, please know there is absolutely no pressure to join in out loud until you feel comfortable. You are always welcome to simply sit, close your eyes, and listen to the vibration of the room. Your practice is entirely your own.

Questions
Kundalini is an active, experiential practice. Each session combines dynamic, repetitive physical movements (Kriyas) with specific breathing techniques, chanting, and meditation. We use these tools to build heat and clear mental blocks, finishing with a deep, restorative relaxation followed by a focused meditation to ground your energy.
You are incredibly welcome to drop in! While our 6-week courses follow a beautifully curated seasonal theme, every single class is designed as a complete, standalone experience. You do not need any prior knowledge from the previous week to fully participate, reset your nervous system, and experience the exact same deep energetic benefits as everyone else.
Absolutely. Kundalini does not require you to bend into complex shapes or touch your toes. The movements are rhythmic and can easily be modified to suit your body. It is about your breath, focus, and energy—not your flexibility.
Wear loose, comfortable clothing that allows you to breathe deeply and move freely. Please bring your own yoga mat and a light blanket or shawl. The blanket is essential to keep you warm and cosy during the deep relaxation and meditation phases at the end of class.
